Obituary. At the age of 75, our loving Mother, Grandmother (Mema), and Great-Grandmother Sheila Fonnesbeck, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2020 in Lebanon, CT. She was born 5th of 7 children to Paul and Maurine Fonnesbeck on May 4, 1944 in Howell, Utah. Sheila’s fondest and most shared memories were of those growing up on her family farm, spending her days riding her horse “Fly”, and watching over their herds of sheep. Sheila had a great love for animals, especially for her dog’s Fritz and Dory that brought her much happiness and comfort. Sheila was a proud graduate of Bear River High School and continued her education at Utah State University. A natural born caregiver, Sheila went on to become a Medical Assistant. Sheila’s greatest passions in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; maintaining a special and loving relationship with each one of them. She left a unique, eternal bond that will forever be cherished. She has always been a strong and inspiring role model for the entire family; impacting each of us in a profound and special way. Her charm and lighthearted mischievous nature, along with her charisma and sense of humor, easily made Sheila everyone’s favorite person to be around. Sheila’s hobbies included family vacations, sewing, crossword puzzles, reading, politics, supporting her children and grandchildren in everything they did, and a lifelong love for the Utah Jazz. Sheila had a passion for singing; captivating all those who were graced by her beautiful and stunning singing voice. Sheila’s memory will live on through her children; Blair, Dayna, Dionne. Grandchildren; Jamie, Justin, Brittney, Jordan, Kylie, Aaron, Spencer, D’Lanie. Great-grandchildren; Tristian, Blake, Titan, Cyrus, Cora, Avery, Cheyenne, Dylan, Harper, and those yet to come. Although we would never be ready for her departure, she has prepared us in every way for the future. We will be sure to make her proud. She will forever be the wind beneath our wings. “I love you to the moon and back.” Shelia’s services will held at the privacy of her family
