SUNSET – Wayne R. Canfield, 62, passed away Friday, May 12, 2006 due to complications following knee surgery.

He was born July 26, 1943 in California and grew up in Brigham City, Utah. He attended Bear River High School and then Utah State University.

He married Karlynn Moser March 16, 1965; the marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and friend who devoted his life to the service of others. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including Scout Master, Bishopric and as a member of the High Council. He deeply touched people from all walks of life with his playful nature and genuine friendship.

Surviving are his children: Doug (Jessica) Canfield, Nicole (Ben) Jackson, Cameron (Christy) Canfield and Brittany Canfield; his grandchildren: Noah, Erin, Caleb, Ethan, Wyatt, Cassidy, and Corbin; father, Harry; three brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his loving wife; son, Bryce Cody; granddaughter, G’Ann; brother, Jerry and mother, Laverd.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset North Ward Chapel, 2431 N. 250 W. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, May 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 S. 1900 W., and on Thursday, May 28, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
