Funeral services for M. Douglas Garfield, 27, of Clearfield, who was dead on arrival at the Logan LDS Hospital Saturday afternoon of injuries suffered in an automobile accident, were conducted Wednesday at 1 pm in the Tremonton 4th LDS Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton.

Mr. Garfield was born Nov. 26, 1943 in Logan, a son of Milton Day and Dorothy Lula Jones Garfield.

He was reared and educated in Tremonton, graduated from Bear River High School and attended Utah State University.

He served in the Air Force from July 1965 to February 1968 and was stationed at Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

On Oct. 31,1969, he was married to Linda Arlene Stokes in Ogden.

He was employed at Hill Air Force Base and formerly worked for Marquardt Corp.

He was an Elder in the Clearfield 1st LDS Ward.

Surviving are his widow and one son, Michael Douglas Garfielfd, both of Clearfield;  his parents of Tremonton, one brother and two sisters John Owen Garfiel, Colleen Garfield, both of Tremonton; Mrs. Robert (Carol) Friedli, Reno, Nev.; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jones, Malad, Idaho.
