In Loving Memory

Las Vegas, NV-Boyd Nicholas Holland passed away December 19, 2023, knowing he was loved and cared for by his four son's and family and recently by his partner and dear friend, Christine.

Born March 1st, 1944, to LeRoy and Dorothy Nicholas Holland. He grew up on a farm in Tremonton, Utah, which greatly influenced his work ethic and personality throughout his life.

He later served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Germany. He grew to love the people of Germany and the history. He returned many times to honor Jewish holocaust victims and dedicated himself to researching their stories. He was a guest lecturer many times regarding his research and passion. He always told his kids that he researched so much because he wanted to be a witness. He was especially interested in six euthanasia centers throughout Germany and Europe and made it a goal to pay homage to all of them. He was able to accomplish this goal in May of 2023, when he visited the last one.

He married and had four sons that he was extremely proud of and made it a point to call them on a regular basis. He was a dedicated listener, and he wasn't afraid of asking a second and third question.

He retired from IHC where he worked and was dedicated for many years.

He was an avid tennis player and refused to lose, even to his sons. He enjoyed boating at Bear Lake where he created many lifelong memories for his family. He also enjoyed seeing the world and building relationships with many people, he was a friend to all. He has friends in many countries throughout the world and always stayed connected with them. He will be greatly missed in this life.

He is survived by his children, Ryan, Landen (Shalane), Rob (Kara), Philip (Whitney), 9 grandchildren, Wil, Ava, Olivia, Bridger, Jacob, Roma, Henry, Dutch and Louie, brothers Glenn(Becky) and Leon (Marilynn), sister Marie (Terrell).
