

Barry Allen Roche
Barry Allen Roche died June 12, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Roy, Utah. He is servived by his wife, Diane Potter Roche, children Gina (Rob) Kimple, Las Vegas, Nev. Jennifer (Jeff) Ethier, Roy,Utah. Dan Slade Roche (Lois), West Valley City, Utah. 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, mother Marie Roche, sisters Sherrie (Yale) King, Melaine (Gordie) Young, brothers Rick Roche and Cody Roche. Proceded in death by two sons, Jason Allen Roche and Bart A Roche, father Vern Allen Roche. Barry ordered no funeral services be held. His body is with the University of Utah donor program for medical research. Our hope is for further improved treatment of heart disease by medical research. Our desire is to help others. Barry is at peace.

Barry & I had a really slow gym class together--maybe as juniors. We mostly played 1 on 1 basketball. Of course, he always trounched me but it was still great fun. I always had a special spot in my heart for him. My sincere condolences, Diane.

I read a quote this week by Ram Dass about life (paraphrase): The experience of our lives together is enriched when we realize we are all just "walking each other home" and no one is ever really gone so long as we have memories and the artifiacts of their life. In Barry's case he left a gift of memories for generations through his art
