Gail Womack

Gail Marvin Womack returned to his Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of November 15, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. 

He was born May 8, 1944 to Royal and Lucile Womack in Salmon Idaho. He was the 3rd child of six. He spent his childhood in Ashton Idaho and most of his teenage years in Garland Utah. He met his wife of 50 years while attending Bear River High School. He Served a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the New England States Mission. After he returned he attended Utah State University until he was drafted into the Vietnam War. He married his High School sweetheart on August 14,1968 in the Logan LDS temple after being honorably discharged. They lived a short time in Colorado Springs but spent most of their marriage in Northern Utah and Eastern Idaho. They raised 6 children together. Gail was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. His example of service will be a strong legacy for his family. 

He is survived by his Wife Christena Womack (St.Anthony) His children, Tyler (Nancy) Womack Juneau, AK Corey Womack Juneau, AK Craig (Debi) Womack St.Anthony, ID Rick (Candice) Womack, Sunnydale, ID, Wendy (Rocky) Treadway Idaho Falls,ID, Misty (Kris) Womack Idaho Falls, ID. His Siblings Dennis (Clydene- deceased) Womack, Brent (RoseAnn) Womack, Lynda (Lee) McDonald, Keith (Merla) Womack, Sister in-law Karen Womack and 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in Death by His Parents, Brother Wayne Womack, Grandson Blake Womack.

Funeral services will be November 20, 2018 at 11:00 am in the St. Anthony 2nd Ward chapel. The family will receive friends Monday November 19, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony, and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.  Interment will be at the Riverview Cemetery in St.Anthony,ID.

I came to Bear River as a senior in 1960. Gail welcomed me and offerred me friendship that i have not forgotten. Condolences to his family on their lost of such a good man.

Gail was such a great friend all through high school. We grew up just two blocks apart and did most things together. My mother had a soft spot in her heart for Gail he was always so polite and considerate to her when he was in our home. I know he will be greatly missed. May the Lord's choicest blessings be with Chris and his family at this difficult time.

Gail was a great member of the band as well as the football team. I remember him well. He was very dedicated to his work and was a great friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
