Dennis K Burton, 43 Bear River City, Died of a gunshot wound.

He was born Aug. 21 1944, son of Caleb "Kay" Ransom and Nola Miller Burton.

He married Geraldine Payne Aug. 2 1968 in Tremonton . They were later divorced.

He graduated from Bear River High Scool. He lived in Tremonton, Brigham City, Ogden, and Bear River City.

He worked at Safway's from 1960 to 1976 where he was assistant manager, at Hill AFB as a warehouseman, and for Taylor Construction at Nucor. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a Sgt.  E-5. He was an Elder in the Bear River 2nd LDS Ward.

Survivors are one daughter, Angela Burton of San Francisco, Calif.; his mother of Bear River City. Suvivors also include one brother, Thomas Burton of Brigham City, and one sister, Mrs. Jerry (lorraine) Rhodes, Garland.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 24, at 12 noon at the Bear River Ward Chapel, with Bishop Robert D Nelson officiating. Friends may call Wednesday at Rogers Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.

Internment in the Bear River City Cemetery.
