Richard Lamont Payne passed away 20 May 2012. He was born 20 October 1944, the sixth son of John L. and Verda Whitaker Payne. Mont was raised and educated in Howell and then attended Bear River High School.

After serving in the United States Army he and his wife Cindy made their home in Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Tracey and one son, Gene also 5 sisters: Darlene, Connie, LaRae, Sandy and Shelly; 2 brothers Dennis & Val Gene. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Rusty, Johnl, Gary and his father-in-law.

They had a private gathering on June 10, 2012 at his home in Lakewood, Colorado to celebrate his life.
